The psalter encompasses a wide array of options, including nine complete Psalms. It presents various arrangements for numerous psalm passages, showcasing a blend of familiar hymn tunes, traditional melodies, original arrangements, and a selection of chants.

This version translates JHWH as "LORD" or "Jehovah," while ELOHIM is rendered as "God." ADONAI is occasionally translated as "Lord" and at other times as "Jehovah," providing some flexibility in interpretation.

Initially published in 1973, this psalter was among the first to incorporate more contemporary language into its metered translations. The text has been carefully translated from the original language into English meter, suitable for singing, and includes four-part music arrangements for each selection.
